Southern Tier Scholastic Youth Trap League 05/17/12

Tuesday, April 17 marked the beginning for the Western Conference in the Southern Tier Scholastic Youth Trap League. Frewsburg's Reese Canon was the first and only perfect score in the first round of competition.

Sherman - 250: Kenny Smith, 22; Nick Alday, 20; Kyle Rhebergen, 20; Zack Stareski, 29; David Lyon, 28; Becky Melnick, 17; Jarrett Bates, 27; Brandon Coccarelli, 27.

Clymer - 236: Richard Hoyt, 22; Zane Tucker, 21; Cole Holthouse, 28; Caleb Graves, 26; Denton Holthouose, 26; Tyler Babcock, 25; Dani Yotpolus, 25; Brandon Vogel, 23.

Weather played a role in the April 24 round of matches of the Youth Trap Western Conference canceling Ripley vs. Sherman. Of the scores reported Maple Gove's David Waterman was the lone perfect score for this week.

Panama's scores for April 24 are: Jacob Finnerty, 22; Nick Caron, 22; Stephen Enlow, 21; John Mayr, 19; Parker Roberts, 19; Ben Taylor, 18; Tony Paterniti, 18; Devin Ireland, 18.

At the season midway point for the Southern Tier Scholastic Youth Trap League standings remain elusive due to cancelled matches and yet to be reported scores. Frewsburg commands a steady game holding the lead at last count. Official standings will have to wait until all scores have been updated. Results for the May 5 matches are as follows with Sherman and Ripley yet to report scores.

Clymer - 152: Richard Hoyt, 23; Dani Yotpolus, 22; Cole Holthouse, 19; Tyler Babcock, 18; Denton Holthouse, 18; Zane Tucker, 18; Joshua VanEarden, 17; Tom Heiser, 17.

Maple Grove's Dave Waterman and Sherman's Seth Damcott were the only perfect scores reported for the May 5 round of matches in the S.T.S.Y.T.L. At this point Frewsburg is in the lead with a total of 703 match targets with a narrow margin of 20 targets over Southwestern with 683. With two matches left there are still many contenders for top gun.
