SHERMAN - Now that it has become warmer, the Millers Greenhouse, three mile south from Sherman on Route 76, is open for the season. One can stop by and see all that is available even if people don't want to plant those beautiful flowers yet. There's a good variety of flowers and vegetables, and the fragrances are wonderful. Remember Mother's Day is Sunday and a gift for someone's yard would no doubt be enjoyed.
Probably the Sherman school will soon, if not already, have an abundance of lovely flowers that one can purchase there also. The funds go towards money special projects for projects and trips.
Sherman Central School's 2012 senior prom will take place Saturday, May 12, so all the senior and junior high gals and guys are probably getting ready for the big event. It is more expensive now days than it was years ago. In those days, guys didn't wear tucks and gals didn't always have to wear an expensive new gown. Times have changed however, but those students years ago enjoyed the evening just as much as they do today.
