COLORADO SPRING, Col. - From April 19 to 22, the Westfield High School Westwinds traveled to Colorado where they completed a concert tour and performed at the Cavalacade of Music in Colorado Springs.

The Cavalacade of music is a large music festival, sponsored by the city of Colorado Springs, for high school and middle school aged choirs, orchestras and bands. Each participating group is given a chance to perform a 30 minute concert program in the El Tomar Great Hall, a concert hall in Colorado Springs, in front of a panel of collegiate and high school level adjudicators.

Participating musicians from Colorado, New Mexico, New York, Arizona, Kansas and Texas competed for honors in a variety of categories. The Westfield High School Westwinds received a " superior" rating, the highest possible, on its performance and also received the Outstanding Performance by a Chamber Choir Award.
