WESTFIELD - Jason M. Seekings, 26, of Lakewood was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault, two counts of third-degree menacing and second-degree reckless endangerment on Saturday, April 21.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies investigated an altercation which occurred on Klondyke Road in the Town of Westfield around midnight. The investigation lead to Seeking's arrest for allegedly assaulting a victim after a verbal argument and threatened two victims with a knife. No serious injury was reported and Seekings will appear in Westfield Town Court on a later date.
NORTH HARMONY - Michael R. Sullivan, 20, of Ramsey Road in Ashville was charged with unlawfully growing cannabis, a misdemeanor under the Public Health Law, on Tuesday, April 24.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies and officers from Lakewood Busti Police Department responded to a call of a disturbance on Ramsey Road in the Town of North Harmony. It is alleged that during the investigation, deputies discovered a small marijuana growing operation. Sullivan was arrested, charged and will appear in North Harmony Town Court on a later date.
PORTLAND - Vincent J. Mardino, 32, of Matthews Road in Portland was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation on Thursday, April 26.
According to the sheriff's office, Mardino was charged after an alleged incident at his residence. He was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in Portland Town Court on a later date.
PORTLAND - James D. Robbins, 41, of Canadaway Street in Fredonia was charged with crossing over hazard markings, failure to keep right, open container of alcohol inside a motor vehicle and driving while intoxicate on Friday, April 27.
According to the sheriff's office, Robbins and a female passenger were allegedly traveling eastbound on Route 20 in the Town of Portland around 11 p.m. It is alleged Robbins and a female victim were engaged in a physical altercation while driving down the road. Robbins allegedly jerked the steering wheel of his vehicle, lost control and spun off the roadway after snapping off a utility pole. The female victim refused treatment. Robbins was taken to Westfield Memorial Hospital for evaluation and was later released. Robbins was subsequently charged and released on appearance tickets. Additional charges may be pending. A special thanks goes out to the passing motorist who stopped and took care of Robbins' dog, which was not injured in the accident even though he was ejected from the vehicle.
BROCTON - Joshua P. Roach, 19, of Ellicott Road in Brocton was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail on charges of second-degree aggravated harassment on Monday, April 30.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies were called to Brocton Central School for a harassment incident at around 3:45 p.m. Upon arrival and further investigation, it was allegedly found that Roach called a student at the school and threatened the student. An arrest warrant was issued for Roach, and he was taken into custody a short time later. Roach was arraigned in Brocton Village Court where he was committed to jail on $1,500 cash or $3,000 property bail. He will appear in Brocton Village Court on a later date.
