PORTLAND - Congressman Brian Higgins and State Senator Catharine Young visited Olde Chautauqua Vineyard in the Town of Portland to celebrate the grand opening of farm's 21 Brix Winery.
Olde Chautauqua Vineyard received a Value-Added Producer grant totaling $299,999 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Rural Development funds are made available to agricultural businesses looking to expand their market.
"It's great to see the growth of an over 50-year family agricultural business as it evolves and expands for the next generation of family leaders," Congressman Higgins said.
