RIPLEY - Richard Mulson, age 79, died at home on April 20, 2012 after a long illness.
A lifelong resident of Ripley, born Oct. 8, 1932, the son of the late William and Vista Mulson. Dick took pride in his home and family, enjoyed NASCAR and camping. He was a former member of Ripley Hose Company No. 1.
Dick retired from the Ripley Highway Department in 1990 after 37 years and did roofing with his brother Bill part-time for many years.

Predeceased by his wife Lenora Mulson, companion Maxine Skinner, sisters Helen Tefft, Gladys Lathrop and Doris (Lee) Vanvolkenburg. Survived by son Dennis (Gloria) Mulson of Ripley,
daughter Beverly Adzimo (Stan Kawski) of Brocton, his companion and best friend Eleanora Benson of Ripley, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also survived by brothers William of Ripley, Donald (Joan) of Northeast, Gary (Beverly) of Texas, and brothers-in-law Merl Lathrop of Northeast and Robert Tefft of Florida. Also surviving are step-children Audrey (Neal) Caulder of Ripley, Karen (Pedro) Rivera of Fredonia, Debbie (Alan) Delcamp of Stockton and Miley Gilbert of Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Ripley Hose Company No. 1. Funeral Service were held Wednesday, April 25 at 11 a.m. at The Mathews Funeral Home, 104 West Main St. with the Reverend D. Eggleston. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the funeral service and called at the funeral home Tuesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment was at Portland Evergreen Cemetery, Brocton.
