"The Jumping Frog of Calaveras County"
This adaptation of Mark Twain's classic short story told the tale of schemer and braggart Jim Smiley, who decides to make his fortune by entering his frog in the first annual Calaveras County Frog Jumping Contest. The cast included Jacob Toy as Mark Twain, Kevin Gleason as Jim Smiley, Jordan Boland and Madelyn Troutner as Farmer, Nick Ames and Trenton Meeder as Horse, Danielle Reed as School Teacher, Brandon Coccarelli and Cadi Hannold as Gold Miner, and Alexandria Anderson as Frog. George Burkett, Jacob Martin were understudies.
"Going to School"
The Drama Club at Sherman Central School put on two comedies the weekend of March 16 and 17. The students did an excellent job as evidenced by the enthusiastic applauding by the audience.
It's going to be a fun day as Nick goes off to college for the first time with his exasperating and sometimes ridiculous family. The cast included Jacob Toy as Nick, Abby Kuhn and Jessica Morton as Cindy, George Burkett and Jacob Martin as Nick's alter, Lena Young as Mom, Jordan Boland as Dad, Alexandria Anderson and Rebekah Anderson as Jennifer, Cadi Hannold as Grandma, Danielle Reed as Clare's, Katie Graczyk as Cashier and Kevin Gleason and Brando Coccarelli as Fantasy Dad. John Keating was the director and J. R. Liffner was an assistant. Raoxanne Toy was the production's stage manager.
All the painters, props, lighting, sound, costumer/wardrobe, make up, art design, graphic designer, photographers, concessions tickets ushers and one man band were recognized and appreciated greatly and thanked for the parts they cared for to make the plays a success. Without all their help it couldn't have been done.
