WESTFIELD - Keith J. Williams, 35, of Woleben Road in Portland was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Saturday, March 17.
According to the police office, a suspicious vehicle parked behind a local business in the Village of Westfield was investigated. During the investigation, it was allegedly found Williams was the operator, and he was allegedly operating the vehicle on a suspended license. He was issued a traffic citation and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Joseph R. Sprauer, 20, of South Water Street in Westfield was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marihuana, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to stop for a stop sign on Saturday, March 17.
According to the police office, a vehicle was allegedly observed failing to stop at the stop sign at Grove and East Main Streets around 8 p.m. After the vehicle was pulled over, the driver was allegedly identified as Sprauer. Through an investigation, it was determined Sprauer's driving privileges were allegedly suspended. Also through the investigation, he was found to allegedly be in possession of a small amount of marihuana as well as an ecstasy tablet. Sprauer was taken into custody and released with appearance tickets and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Daniel J. Madden, 43, of Franklin, Pa., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed in zone on Monday, March 19.
According to the police office, Madden was stopped for allegedly speeding at around 7:30 p.m. A check of Madden's license allegedly revealed him to be suspended in New York State. Madden was released with traffic tickets and is expected to return to Westfield Village Court on a later date.
