In my column this week, I wrote about the maple syrup industry. How many people have tasted this year's delicious syrup? For those who haven't, I suggest taking a short trip and travel south down the Clymer Sherman Road to Red's sugar house for a pancake breakfast with all the trimmings on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Someone told me Red said his syrup is the lightest color he has ever made and I know the lighter it is, the better it is.
We plan to go this week and I know from experience we won't be sorry. We go there most every year if we're around and have never been disappointed. One would get a good sample of the syrup. Those who make the trip won't be disappointed and will love that new delicious maple syrup.
Derek "Red" Redlecki, along with his wife Cathy and helpers, serve breakfast from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Until April 15. The couple has maple syrup and other maple products for sale.
Keep in mind that the Sherman school annual play will take place on March 23 and 24 in the school auditorium. If there is any date change I'll let you know next week. Last year its wonderful performance was "The Wizard of Oz."
We send prayers and sympathy to the family of Larry Cupp on the death of their loved one.
