Senior David Hindman of Chautauqua Lake Central School brought home the first place medal for the “Dynamic Planet” regional competition on the topic of Earth’s Fresh Waters at the Science Olympiad, hosted at Canisius College early in February. David and classmate Ethan Auge finished in fifth place in evaluating aquatic environments for the Water Quality contest. They competed against students from 30 other districts throughout Western New York. Here principal Josh Liddell congratulates David and Ethan. Also shown, from left to right, are team members Robbie Hoitink, Chloe Kilmartin, Albert Firster and Steven Akin, with science teachers Steven Johnston and Brian Fortney.
