Youth basketball tournament

North American Youth Sports recently announced it will be holding its annual Spring Youth Basketball Tournament at Randolph Central School District April 13 through 15.

This tournament will feature 10 different brackets, including: fifth and sixth grade boys; fifth and sixth grade girls; seventh grade boys; seventh grade girls; eighth grade boys; eighth grade girls; ninth and 10th grade boys; ninth and 10th grade girls; 11th and 12 grade boys; and 11th and 12th grade girls.

The entry fee for this tournament is $110 and guarantees each team a minimum of two games. The entry deadline is March 23. There will be awards presented in each bracket.

Pinehurst ParTee Girls looking for ladies

The Pinehurst ParTee Girls is getting ready to start another year of league play. Anyone interested in joining the Tuesday night ladies' league in Westfield should contact Sue Wagner at 792-9827 or Pat Thompson at 792-4232.

Thunderbird Youth Baseball Clinic

The Chautauqua Lake varsity baseball team will host its annual youth baseball clinic, Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., at Chautauqua Lake Central School. The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 7-12, which will be divided into smaller groups upon arrival.

High school players and coaches will provide instruction in hitting, throwing, infield and outfield defense, pitching and catching and base running.

Facilities include three gymnasiums, indoor batting cage, indoor pitching mounds and indoor track. Each participant should wear sneakers and bring their own glove. The fee is $20 for one child and $15 for each additional child from the same family. All participants will receive a free Thunderbird baseball T-shirt and water bottle. Walk-ins are welcome.
