Beatrice J. Davis died, after a short illness, on Friday, March 9, at the Absolut Care of Westfield. She was born Oct. 29, 1920 to the late Ralph and Hazel Perdue, Sr.
Beatrice was a house wife and also assisted her husband, Fred C. Davis, at the family farm in Ripley. She was a member of the Ripley Methodist Church, where she was actively involved as a Sunday school teacher. She was also a former member of the Methodist Church of Ripley.
Beatrice enjoyed being a member of the Home Bureau of Ripley, the 4-H, and a den mother for both the Girl and Boy Scouts organizations.
Besides her husband, Fred, whom she married May 11, 1946 at the Baptist Church of North East, Pa., Beatrice is survived by two sons, Dale (Maureen) and Mark Davis, both of Ripley, N.Y., a daughter; Renae (Michael) Carter of Arlington, Va., and a sister; June Hazen of Findley Lake, N.Y.
She was predeceased by brothers, Ralph and Leslie Perdue and a son Kevin Davis, Jr.
A 4 p.m., funeral service was held Tuesday, March 13 at the Mathews Funeral Home, 104 West Main Street in Ripley, N.Y. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the funeral service and called Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m., prior to the service.
