Students read to mark Dr. Seuss’ birthday

MAYVILLE - Students throughout the elementary grades at Chautauqua Lake Central School celebrated Read Across America Day, the March 2 birthday of beloved author Dr. Seuss. Principal Ella Ames and Superintendent Ben Spitzer led students in the Reader's Oath in preparation. Guest readers included community members, student volunteers, teachers from the learning support office and the secondary school, administrators, counselors and library staff. Students in Marlea Brown's tenth grade English class read to Mary Short's third graders.
