WESTFIELD - Carrie C McCausland, 33, of Beckman Avenue in Westfield was charged with fail to stop at stop sign and operating motor vehicle using mobile telephone on Thursday, Feb. 23.
According to the police office, police responded around 8:15 p.m., to a motor vehicle accident which occurred at the intersection of Beckman Avenue and Kent Street. A vehicle being operated by McCausland was allegedly traveling north on Beckman Avenue at which time she allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign at Beckman Avenue and Kent Street. The vehicle crossed over Kent Street and struck a residence located at 23 Kent Street causing damage to the residence. McCausland was transported to Westfield Memorial Hospital by the Westfield Fire Department for treatment. McCausland was issued traffic tickets and will appear in front of Judge Thomas in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Robert Loewer, 23, of Chestnut Street in Westfield was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and unsafe turn on Saturday, Feb. 25.
According to the police office, a patrolman on East Main Street in the Village of Westfield allegedly observed a vehicle make an unsafe turn from West Main Street onto Chestnut Street at around 2:15 a.m., directly in the path of an oncoming semi truck. Upon further investigation, it was found that operator Loewer's privileges to operate a vehicle in New York State were allegedly suspended. Loewer was issued traffic citations and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Brandon S. Haima, 24, of Dudley Avenue in Hamburg was charged with operating motor vehicle with a suspended registration on Saturday, Feb. 25.
According to the police office, an officer stopped Haima around 9:30 p.m., for allegedly operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. The vehicle was towed and Haima was issued tickets. He will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
