PORTLAND - State Police at Fredonia investigated a personal injury car accident that sent two people to the hospital Friday night on Highland Avenue in the town of Portland.

Johnathan Winslow, 22, of Fredonia was driving around 8 p.m. northbound on Highland Avenue when he went off onto the west shoulder and over corrected causing the vehicle to overturn. He was transported to Westfield Hospital by ambulance for his injuries. Virginia Lehman, 42, of Brocton, was a passenger in the vehicle and was also injured. She was initially taken by ambulance to Westfield Hospital for injuries to her neck and abdomen and was then flown to Erie Hamot.

Winslow was charged with failing to keep right and for having no New York State driver's license.
