Students in the elementary grades at Chautauqua Lake Central School saw red earlier this month, when their teachers, administrators, office and support staff all dressed for National Wear Red Day to raise awareness of women’s heart health issues. Heart disease is still the number one killer of women in the United States causing one in three deaths, according to the American Cancer Society, which challenges citizens to kick off American Heart Month by wearing red on the first Friday in February. Chautauqua Lake Child Care Center and BOCES staff at Chautauqua Lake joined the CLCS family in the colorful affirmation.
