Sheriff looking for tips on residential burglary in Chautauqua

CHAUTAUQUA - The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary which allegedly occurred at 4154 Hewes Road in the Town of Chautauqua sometime between Nov. 22, 2011 and Feb. 1, 2012.

It was reported the subject forcibly entered the residence through the back door and stole merchandise inside the home consisting of firearms, ammunition, knives, jewelry, power tools and a television. During the alleged incident time, the homeowners were on vacation in Florida and the house on Hewes Road was vacant.

Anyone having any helpful information to this case is asked to contact the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office at 661-7232 or send an anonymous tip.
