NORTH HARMONY - Susan R. Kelderhouse, 54, of Hunt Road in Lakewood was charged with driving while intoxicated, having a blood alcohol content higher than 0.08 percent and unlicensed operator on Wednesday, Jan. 11.

According to the sheriff's office, at around 7:15 p.m., a deputy was working at an event at the Ashville BOCES center. It is alleged Kelderhouse attempted to enter the event and was denied access because she was intoxicated. Kelderhouse was warned not to drive, but allegedly left, got in a car and attempted to drive away. She was stopped by the deputy, was taken into custody and processed. She will appear in North Harmony Town Court on a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA - Derek J. Saxton, 30, of Barber Road in Stockton was charged with grand larceny on Friday, Jan. 13.

According to the sheriff's office, at around 12:35 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Elm Flats Road in the Town of Chautauqua for allegedly committing several vehicle and traffic violations. Following an interview, it was found that the passenger in the vehicle, Saxton, was allegedly wanted for grand larceny in the City of Dunkirk. Saxton was arrested by the sheriff's office and turned over to the City of Dunkirk.

RIPLEY - Lowell Farmer, 71, of Leetonia, Ohio was involved in a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Friday Jan. 13.

According to the sheriff's office, it and Ripley Rescue were dispatched at 8 p.m., to a tractor-trailer accident on Route 5 in the Town of Ripley. An investigation into the incident allegedly showed Farmer was operating his semi-tractor hauling a load of wood westbound on Route 5 when he lost control and left the north side of the road. The vehicle went into a ditch and overturned. Members of Ripley Rescue and deputies assisted in removing Farmer from the vehicle, but no injuries were sustained.

CHAUTAUQUA - Scott L. Laurito, 29, of Brocton was charged with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or greater, seventh-degree criminal possessions of a controlled substance, disobey stop sign and loud exhaust on Friday, Jan. 13.

According to the sheriff's office, at around 12:45 a.m., sheriff's patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hartfield Stockton Road in the Town of Chautauqua. The operator of the vehicle was allegedly identified as Laurito. Following an investigation, he was arrested for DWI and deputies allege Laurito was in possession of a narcotic prescription drug for which he did not possess a prescription. Laurito was processed and later released. He will appear in Chautauqua Town Court on a later date.

NORTH HARMONY - Paul C. Carlson, 50, of Panama Stedman Road in North Harmony was charged with forcible touching on Sunday, Jan. 15.

According to the sheriff's office, Carlson was charged with forcible touching on Jan. 15 after an investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office of an alleged incident which took place on Jan. 13. Carlson was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in North Harmony Town Court on a later date.
