WESTFIELD — John A. Hancock, 48, of Bliss Street in Westfield was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree felony aggravated unlicensed operation, driving without an interlock device, fail to keep right and move from lane unsafely on Saturday, Dec. 24
According to the police office, at around 1:30 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Route 20 near Felton Road in the Town of Westfield after the vehicle allegedly operated by Hancock allegedly crossed the center lines of the roadway, almost striking a Westfield Police vehicle head-on. During the vehicle stop, Hancock was allegedly found to be operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state.
Hancock was arrested, arraigned, posted bail and is due in court on a later date.
WESTFIELD — Brendan P. Walsh, 38, of West Main Street in Brocton was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to keep right on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
According to the police office, at around 12:30 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle being operated by Walsh on East Main Street in the Town of Westfield. Upon investigation, Walsh was allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.
Walsh was released with appearance tickets and will appear in Westfield Town Court on a later date.
