STOCKTON — Season M. Brigham, 32, of Route 380 in Brocton was charged with failure to keep right and leaving the scene of a property damage accident on Sunday, Dec. 18.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Stockton Hill Road around 1:30 a.m., where a SUV was allegedly found overturned with no operator or passengers around. An investigation into the incident led to Brigham being charged with the above counts.
She will answer to the charges on a later date in Stockton Town Court.
RIPLEY — Noah T. Achenbach, 32, of Sherman was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI — for having an alleged 0.23 percent blood alcohol content — passing a red light and other traffic charges on Saturday, Dec. 24.
According to the sheriff’s office, it responded around 11:30 p.m., to a reported vehicle that had driven into the front of a building on West Main Street in Ripley. An investigation showed that Achenbach had allegedly driven through a red light at South State Street and West Main Street in Ripley. Achenbach allegedly lost control of his vehicle, struck a sign post and drove into the front of the building at 4 West Main Street in Ripley. The building is currently abandoned and not occupied. Neither Achenbach nor a passenger was injured.
Achenbach was released and is to appear in Ripley Town Court on a later date.
NORTH HARMONY — Jeremiah A. Butts, 19, of Steinhoff Road in Ashville was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, open container, driving on shoulder and moved from lane unsafe on Sunday, Dec. 25.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies observed a vehicle allegedly unsafely turn onto the shoulder of Steinhoff Road and continue driving on the shoulder of the road at a high rate of speed at around midnight. The vehicle then allegedly pulled into a driveway and the operator fled into a field. After a short amount of time, the operator was located and identified.
Following an investigation, Butts was arrested.
HARMONY — Jane E. Blackmar, 64, of School Street in Panama was involved in a personal injury accident on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
According to the sheriff’s office, Blackmar was operating her vehicle southbound on Kings Corners Road in the Town of Harmony around 11:30 a.m. Blackmar stated she lost control of her vehicle on snow covered roadway and her vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch on the west side of Kings Corners Road and overturned, coming to rest on the roof of the vehicle.
Blackmar was transported to WCA Hospital for apparent minor injuries.
