WESTFIELD — Scott P. Biekert, 24, of 26 Clinton Street in Westfield was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a clad D Felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana on Saturday, Dec. 17.
According to the police office, at around 11 p.m., an officer was on patrol on Pearl Street in the Village of Westfield when they allegedly observed what appeared to be illegal drug activity. The officer did stop and check on Biekert. Upon further investigation, Biekert was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana and multiple bags of cocaine. Biekert was charged and arraigned in Westfield Village Court. His bail was set at $5,000 cash and $10,000 property.
WESTFIELD — An 18-year-old mail from Chilton Avenue in Niagara Falls, N.Y., was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and speed in zone on Sunday, Dec. 18.
According to the police office, at around 4 p.m., officers were on patrol on North Portage Street in the Village of Westfield when they allegedly observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed for zone and stopped the vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was found that the male’s license was allegedly suspended in New York State. The youth was placed into custody and arraigned in Westfield Village Court where bail was set at $300 cash.
