Westfield, Sherman, Chautauqua Lake all winners at recent high school bowl

Westfield Academy and Central School defeated Randolph Central School 91-58 in a recent WJTN High School Bowl Competition at Jamestown Community College.

Members of the Westfield team were: Alec Freyn; Iain Cockram; Gregory Momberger; Sarah Kelly; Carly Backus; Don Wood; Chris Kelley; Ashlee Poletto; Peter Manzella; Alex Michels; Davis Bates; and Christopher Cockram. The team is coached by Jeffrey Payne. Freyn was named Player of the Match.

The Randolph team, coached by Jennifer Bieniek, included: Adam Ditcher; Amy Ruth; Andrew Gurzinski; Emily Gustafson; and Sarah Schrader.

In another match, Sherman Central School defeated Cassadaga Valley Central School 62-60. Members of the Sherman team were: Bryan Tenpas; David Kelley; Kim Pacy; Jordan Boland; Nick Hlifka; Brandon Van Curan; Justin Levy; and Rebekah Anderson. Karen Beimel is the coach of the Sherman team.

The Cassadaga Valley team, coached by Wendy Dyment, included: Tim Bartlett; Emily Marsh; Hunter Caskey; and Katelyn DeChard.

Tenpas and Bartlett shared Player of the Match honors.

Chautauqua Lake Central School defeated Ellicottville Central School 58-54.

The Chautauqua Lake team, coached by Kim Sweet and Mary Jantzi, members were: Rebecca Silliman; David Hindman; Greg Hoitink; Maria Sena; and Jessie Meredith.

The Ellicottville team, coached by Ann Chamberlain, included: Josh Bordini; James Snider; Patrick Snyder; and Connor Helwig.

Silliman and Bordini shared Player of the Match honors.
