HARMONY — On Friday, Sept. 9 around 10 p.m., sheriffs were dispatched to Weeks Road in Panama for a suicidal person who made threats against their person and fled into a wooded area. The sheriff’s K9 Drago was brought to the area to conduct a search for the person. Following a track through a field and wooded area, the K9 was able to locate the individual before any harm could be done.
PORTLAND — Steven J. Seavy, 20, of Pullman Street in Brocton was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, trespass and second-degree harassment on Thursday, Sept. 15.
According to the sheriff’s office, a citizen located a subject who was allegedly attempting to steal items from their vehicle on Walker Road in the Town of Portland around 1 a.m. A brief physical confrontation allegedly occurred and the suspect left the area. A description of the vehicle was provided to deputies who located the vehicle a short time later on Main Street in the Village of Brocton. During the investigation, Seavy, a passenger in the vehicle, allegedly attempted to leave the area and a short foot pursuit ensued before Seavy was taken into custody.
Seavy was chaged and arraigned in Portland Town Court.
