Masonic Golf Tourney is Oct. 7
FINDLEY LAKE — The second annual Masonic Golf Tournament will be Oct. 7 on the Lower Course at Peek ‘N’ Peak Course.
Registration is at 9:45 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 11 a.m. with the cost $60 per person and the dinner only is $20.
The registration includes 18 holes, riding cart and lunch. A steak dinner is slated at the Pine Junction Restaurant following the golf.
Prizes will be given to the longest drive and the closest to the pin.

The event benefits the Sherman Central School Student Improvement Movement, an organization that provides children in the community with after-school activities.
“Voice Fore A Child” Charity Golf Tourney set
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Chautauqua County, is hosting its first golf tournament Saturday, Sept. 17, at Sugar Hill Golf Course in Westfield.
All proceeds from the First Annual “Voice Fore A Child” will benefit the not-for-profit organization’s mission of providing trained volunteer advocates to serve as a voice in family court for abused and/or neglected children in an effort to secure them safe, permanent homes.
“A Voice Fore A Child” is a four-person scramble and includes a picnic buffet and an awards reception. Check in is 8 a.m. with tee-off time at 9 a.m. Cost is $50 per player (walk course) or $55 per player (includes cart) and $180 per foursome (walk course) or $200 per foursome (includes cart). Rain date is Sept. 24.

Closest to the pin on the par 3’s were: Truby on No. 4 and Mike Sheehan on No. 7. Closest to the 150-yard marker on No. 5 was Dan Thompson. There were no skins won.
Final standings for league play are: League Champs Mike Sheehan and Nick Speziale 210 points; Second place Dave Willebrandt and Bill Hipwell, 202 points; Third place Jarod Emke and Kris Kane 196.5 points.
The league’s final scramble and banquet was held at the Pinehurst Golf Course Wednesday, Sept. 14.
