WESTFIELD — Cherish M. Weathers, 24, of Dahlburg Road in Portland, N.Y., was charged with no front license plate, improper plates, unregistered vehicle, unlicensed operator and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator.

According to police, they stopped a vehicle operated by Weathers for an alleged traffic violation around 1 a.m. on East Main Street in the Village of Westfield. During the traffic stop, it was allegedly found Weathers was in violation of multiple vehicle and traffic infractions.

Weathers was issued traffic tickets for the five charges and is due in Westfield Village Court on a later date.



WESTFIELD — Darrell W. Colgrove, 54, of Spring Street in Westfield was charged with disorderly conduct on Friday, Sept. 9.

According to police, Colgrove was arrested around 7 a.m. for disorderly conduct on Spring Street in the Village of Westfield after he allegedly used obscene gestures and language while on Spring Street.

Colgrove was issued an appearance ticket to appear in front of Judge Thomas later this month.



WESTFIELD — A 19-year-old Westfield youth was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance outside of the original container on Monday, Sept. 12.

According to police, they investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of Hawley Street and the Village of Westfield water filtration plant in the Village of Westfield around midnight. During the investigation, it was allegedly found that a 19-year-old Westfield youth was in possession of marijuana and a controlled substance.

The youth will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.



WESTFIELD — Aaron T. Smith, 26, of Route 5 in Westfield was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

According to police, officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Growers on North Portage Street in the Village of Westfield around 2 a.m. Smith was the only occupant of the vehicle and was allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. Smith was issued an appearance ticket, released and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
