Rotary gives $4,000 in scholarship awards

The Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club was pleased to be part of the five area high school’s commencements and scholarship awards. Scholarships totaling $4,000 were awarded in recognition of the following 10 seniors who will continue their education and exemplify leadership, honesty and the Rotary’s Motto “Service above Self.”

Brocton Central School: Elizabeth Bromsted; Zachary Delcamp

Chautauqua Lake Central School: Chandler Paddock; Colleen Holl

Ripley Central School: Sawyer Eimers; Alana DelVecchio

Sherman Central School: Rebecca Ottaway; Colleen Yaw

Westfield Academy and Central School : Alexandra Fisher; Michael Bova

Celebrating its 81st anniversary year, part of the Rotary Club’s mission is to serve others through vocations, practice high ethical standards and provide incentives for vocational service. Founded in Chicago in 1905, Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.
