WESTFIELD — Calling all clunkers.
Larry Spacc is holding its first ever Ugliest Car Contest. As long as the car can be driven onto and off of the lot, anyone believing they have the ugliest looking car in the area can bring it to one of Spacc’s three local locations to get its picture taken. Those photos will be posted on the WBKX Country radio station’s website and judging will be done by the station’s morning show, Mark, James and the Kix Chix. The winner will receive a $250 gas card.
“I was just trying to find a way to do something interesting and fun,” said Larry Spacc Sales Representative Josh Brown, who came up with the contest concept.
The contest began on Monday, Aug. 8 and Spacc will be accepting entries until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13. The three Spacc locations taking part in the contest are in Westfield at 7580 East Main Road, in Dunkirk at 4037 Vineyard Drive and in Kennedy at 683 Route 394. Photos will be posted at www.wbkxcountry.com where people can comment on all the vehicles.
“Everybody’s got a fair chance,” Brown said. “We want to be involved in the community. We’re trying to have fun.”
The winner will be announce on Monday, Aug. 15 during the Mark, James and the Kix Chix morning radio show on WBKX Country between 8:45 and 9 a.m. Brown will be making a guest appearance on the show that morning for the announcement.
