There are times in our lives that we are left speechless and words seem so inadequate for what is on one’s heart. That is how we feel as we try to write this and try to find the words to thank those who supported us in many different ways as we planned and presented “America – Through the Years” back on July 3.
As we started on this journey, the support was overwhelming. Our first support came from the local businesses and churches with the displaying of our posters advertising the event and listing the event in their bulletins. Next on the list is family and friends. Thank you for your support, your encouragement, your willingness to help out behind the scenes and your prayers. We may not have always acknowledged your support, but it was noticed and greatly valued. You were there for us as we stepped out into the great unknown. And then we come to the community. We had no idea how this would be received by the area, but you overwhelmed us with your presence that night. Thank you for taking time from busy schedules to come and support us. You didn’t just come, you participated and you encouraged us throughout the night and afterwards. Thank you also for your generosity to Kevin’s Unit. The amount of items donated was truly astounding and is greatly appreciated. Thank you also to those who gave monetary gifts to help with the cost of sending these items overseas and for supporting our troops as they defend us.
And last, but certainly not least, we think of the soldiers, past and present, who give us freedom every day with their service. Thank you. Let us never forget that freedom is not free.
With humble hearts and gratitude,
