A local day care did just that this past Friday. Five kids at Stacy’s Day Care in Westfield made lemonade and brownies which they sold for donations and in the four hours the stand was in business, the children made over $400 which will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
“We just get a little bit excited,” every time they sold a glass of lemonade Lauren Cochran, 5, said.
“I got all the sugar off the bottom,” of the lemonade container Cassidy Phillips, 6, said.
Tristen Phillips, 4, said he was having fun working at the stand and his favorite part about it was when they sold lemonade.
The stand saw a lot of people, according to the little entrepreneurs, as we evidenced by the amount they raised for their charity of choice.
“We’re happy to help the kids that are in the hospital,” Cassidy Phillips said.
“(We wanted) something fun to do and to teach them to help people,” Stacy Cochran, owner of the day care said. “That’s important too.”
