WESTFIELD — Batter Baked Foods, Inc. located at 25 Jefferson Street in Westfield has invested in new technology in the way of a high heat, high speed 45’ industrial oven to replace the existing 95’ fifty year old oven that was originally placed inside the building in 1973. This new oven will allow Better Baked Foods to manufacture a variety of new bread bases from pizza crusts to flatbreads, biscuits, muffins and Ciabatta breads. The need for the oven was driven by new and existing customer demand, better oven reliability and energy savings.
The installation requires a hole be made in the existing building whereby the old oven can be cut up and pulled out before the new oven can be placed. It is planned that the new oven will be producing product the first week of August which is great news for their customers.
