WESTFIELD — A Westfield man was charged with menacing.
According to police, on Sunday, July 10 at 1 a.m., officers responded to 49 Oak Street in Westfield for a disorderly subject. Upon further investigation, it was found that Anthony J. Crouch, 29, of Oak Street in Westfield, allegedly pointed a shot gun at a male within the residence while in an argument. Police filed for a warrant for Crouch and the warrant was served on Monday, July 11.
Crouch was arraigned in Westfield Village Court where bail was set at $750 cash and $1,500 property. Crouch will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date to answer the charge of second degree menacing.
WESTFIELD — A Westfield youth was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and violation of curfew.
According to police, on Tuesday, July 12 at 2 a.m., officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked at Westfield’s waste water station on Hawley Street in the Village of Westfield. Upon investigation, the vehicle was found to be occupied by a 17-year-old Westfield youth. The youth was allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.
The youth was issued appearance tickets for violation of village curfew and unlawful possession of marijuana. The youth will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
