Over the Backyard Fence in Sherman

Sherman Wildcats Den Keep in mind that Sherman Central School graduation is tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m., in the school auditorium. This means students are now out of school until September. We wish them all avery good summer. Sherman's valedictorian is Christopher Persons, the son of Mark and Katherine Persons. Its salutatorian is Alyssa Cole, the daughter of Todd and Kimberly Cole. Colleen Yaw, niece of Paul and Robin Starceski, is the historian. Sherman school Superintendent, Thomas W. Scmidt, states that the district appreciates everyone's support on this year's school budget. The administration and the Board of Education will continue to work hard to make sure that we provide the best education possible while being economically responsible. We do know that we still have some difficult times ahead of us, but we believe that with budgeting and economic planning, we have given ourselves the ability to get through these hard times without a heavy impact on the taxpayers.
