Near end of May and still threatens rain
As the marketers are here again
Settings stalls up in the park
To vend their wares again this year
Familiar faces along the walk
Both of venders and patrons today as well
To greet and be greeted anew in conversation
Of how each other has survived the winter
Browse to see the handiwork
That they’ve crafted through winter cold
Again to display their art to all
And hopefully to get them sold
Starter plants to those who wish to grow
Others’ clothes or books to read
Hanging jewelry for neck or ear
Or some refreshment for those in need
But now just past the final hour
With every one in tear-down mode
Packing all their wares away
Await to come another day
With folding tables, tent and dollies
To be collapsed and put inside
To wait again to be produced
And repeat this Saturday show renewed
