Higginbotham, Cooney marry in March

Cassidy Brooks Higginbotham and Scott Thomas Cooney were married Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Hurlbut Memorial Church in Chautauqua.

Officiating the double ring ceremony was the Rev. Paul Womack.

Maid of Honor was Lindsey Ardillo, cousin of the bride. Bride’s maids were Kingsley Matos and Michele Ardillo, cousins of the bride.

Clay Boyd, friend of the groom, served as Best Man. Tom Cooney, father of the groom and Cody Potratz, friend of the groom, served as groomsmen.

Chandler Paddock, cousin of the bride, read a special scripture reading chosen by the couple. Program attendants were Madison and Fred L. Higginbotham, IV, niece and nephew of the bride. Fred L. Higginbotham, III, brother of the bride, assisted them. Bradley and Nancy Jopek provided music. Lynette Higginbotham of Marysville, Ohio, served as wedding planner and florist.

The reception was held at Webb’s Captains Table in Mayville, following the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Fred and Ivy Higginbotham of Westfield. Parents of the groom are Connie Cooney of North East, Pa., and Tom and Deb Cooney of South Ripley.

The bride is currently employed as a social worker at the Office of Children and Youth in Erie. The groom is employed as technician at ServiceMaster by Higginbotham’s.

The couple resides in Westfield.
