Westfield Memorial Hospital Celebrates “Champions of Care” Hospital Week
May 18, 2011
WESTFIELD - Westfield Memorial Hospital joins other hospitals across the country in celebrating National Hospital Week May 8th-14th. The celebration of National Hospital Week began in 1921 when a magazine editor suggested that more information about hospitals might alleviate public fears about the “shrouded” institutions of the day. Hospital Week then expanded to facilities across the nation. Today, National Hospital Week is the largest health care event that celebrates hospitals’ history, technology and dedicated health care professionals. This year’s theme is “Champions of Care.” Westfield Memorial Hospital will be honoring their 100 plus employees who work hard in providing compassion and excellence to their delivery of care. Westfield Memorial Hospital takes pride in their associates and thanks each and every one of them for their ongoing dedication and commitment to providing quality healthcare to our community.
