United Way of Northern Chautauqua County (UWNCC) is accepting applications for Community Investment Grants. Community Investment Grants provide funding to organizations in support of projects that address priority human service needs in Northern Chautauqua County. Indicators given consideration are Education, Income & Health.
501(c)(3) agencies registered with the New York State Charities Bureau may apply for these funds. Projects submitted may be either new or existing programs not currently supported by UWNCC Allocations. Grants will be awarded for the 2011 calendar year, during which UWNCC will evaluate the on-going need for the program as well as the provider’s performance. Agencies may re-apply each year under the Community Investment Grant Program; however, no commitment of continued funding is promised or implied.
Community Investment Grants will be used to support projects that address problems in the community identified through problem identification studies and/or needs assessments. Funding requests must not exceed $12,000. The 2011 total to be awarded is $49,362.
If your organization is interested in applying, please request a grant application by calling 366-5424 or e-mailing email@example.com no later than September 15, 2010. Grant applications are due in the UWNCC office by the close of business on October 6, 2010.
Once those chosen for final consideration are determined, those applicants will be contacted to schedule a time to meet with the volunteer Community Investment Committee.
