RIPLEY -  Frances J. Markham, 87, died Saturday July 24, 2010 at her home in Ft Myers, FL. Frances was a life long resident of the Ripley, NY area and served in the Navy during WWII. After retirement, she and her husband spent many enjoyable years at Tropicana in Ft. Myers, FL . Frances will be remembered as the spark that initiated many fun and creative activities among family and friends. She will be missed greatly by all who had the pleasure to know and love her.


She is survived by her husband George and three daughters; Jaclyn Markham (Gregg Sablic); Cynthia (Arden) Wragge; and Joan Enterline (Phil Wszolek); a sister Helen J. Eidens, Ft. Myers, FL, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Jessie Jennings, and her sisters Ardis J. Matteson, and Wilna J. Eidens.


A celebration of Fran’s life is planned for early October in Ripley, NY. Internment at the Quincy cemetery in Ripley will follow. The family requests that in lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 20 W. Main St., PO Box 357, Ripley, NY 14775, or Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Ft.
