WESTFIELD - The Westfield Senior Citizens met November12th at the YWCA for a pot-luck dinner. 31 Members attended.Following a delicious meal, the meeting was called to order by President Shirley Kolpien. Art Kinney read as devotions a piece called “Just Common Soldier”. The nominating committee presented as the slate of upcoming officers the following: President: Shirley Kolpien Vice President: Geri Harper Treasurer: Dolores Kaufman Secretary: Sylvia Colbey The vote was unanimous to accept the entire slate The 50/50 was won by Fran Anderson, and the door prize by Peg McAllister Goodwill Chairman Lavina Saigeon reported that birthday congratulations were sent to Dolores Kaufman, Walley Haley, Pauline Winslow, and John Osterhoudt, and get-well wishes to Mary Ellen Ross. Art Kinney reported on the Senior Council meeting. On eof the things for Seniors to remember this time of year is to check on their health insurance. OFA is always willing to assist in any way. December 10th will be the Christmas party. This will be catered by the Bark Grill. Darla Augur will make a cake. Members are to pay $3.00, the club will pay the remainder. Firm reservations are needed for this. If there is anyone who hasn’t been contacted and who wishes to attend, please call Dolores Kaufman at 716-326-2828. Bring a wrapped gift worth at least $5.00 marked whether it is for a man or woman. The kitchen committee will be Mary Cogliano and Mamie Criscione. Yearly dues of $2.00 should be paid by January.
