WESTFIELD - The Village of Westfield Department of Public Works Department has released the following reminder.Winter Parking Notice Parking in the streets and the right-of-way is prohibited in the Village of Westfield during the months of November 1 through April 1 and from the hours of 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., except Clinton Street, which is subject to restrictions. This is in accordance with Local Law 146-5. Parking Lot Winter Hour Notice Winter parking hours in all Municipal Parking Lots go into effect during the months of November 1 through April 1. Hours and sections are noted at all entrances to the parking lots and strict enforcement will be adhered to at all times. Plowing And Snow Removal Residents, business owners and private snow plow owners: It is illegal, by New York State Law, to plow, snow blow or shovel snow into or across a public highway or to obstruct public access, such as pushing snow onto village sidewalks. This is a reminder that tickets will be issued for this violation in accordance with Local Law 127-9. Tractor Trailer (Semi) Owners/Operators Local Law 155-63 (B): Heavy vehicles shall comply with the following regulations: (1) Location. Heavy vehicles shall not be allowed to park in any residential district. In all other districts, heavy vehicles shall park a minimum of 100 feet from any inhabited residential structure.
