RIPLEY?- The Ripley Pride Committee sponsored the first Harvest Fest. The festivities included food, fun and prizes for the best costumes, the best carved pumpkins and the apple eating contest. The Harvest Fest was a huge success with more than 300 participants, with more than 110 being children. None of this would have been possible without the Ripley Pride Committee’s time and effort, Trudy Babcock’s banquet hall at Meeder’s restaurant, Welch’s donation of juice, Sander’s market of North East hotdog bun donation and Mapleville’s donation of hotdogs. Also, a big “thank you” is also deserved by the many organizations in the town and the organizations from the school. Through the effort of these people and others, the first Ripley Harvest Fest has been a huge success.
