John Raymond Robinson of Elloree, SC, formerly of Westfield, NY, died on October 5, 2009 at the age of 85.  He was predeceased by wife, Emily Katherine (Bradt) Robinson, who died on February 1, 2008 at the age of 83.


 


John was born October 24, 1923, the son of Jack and Annabelle Robinson.  Emily was born October 8, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Louise Bradt.  John was also predeceased by brothers Charles and Howard and sisters Florence, Geraldine (Button), and Mabel (Clawson).


 


John and Emily were married for 65 years.  John retired from Welch’s in 1985, and was a long time member of the Westfield Volunteer Fire Department. Emily worked as a nurse’s aide at Westfield Memorial Hospital before they retired to South Carolina in 1985.


 


They are survived by daughters Barbara (James) Klock of Grand Island, N.Y. and Judy (David) Monahan of Elloree, S.C., four granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.


 


Private services and burial will take place in South Carolina.
