MAYVILLE - Patricia J. (Zenns) Turley - 53, of 6107 Mill Road, Mayville, NY, died at home surrounded by her family, when she lost her courageous battle with cancer on Sunday (July 19, 2009).



She was born June 12, 1956, the daughter of J. Conrad and Betty Lou Stoeltzing Zenns.



Pat graduated from Mayville Central School in 1974, and from Jamestown Business College in 1996, where she had been on the Dean’s List.



Pat had worked for Chautauqua County, Red Brick Farm, and most recently at Heritage Green Health Care Center, as an activity attendant where she loved spending time with the residents.



Pat was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mayville, the Altar Guild and Martha Society at Church, where she had also been a former Church Council Member. She also attended Bible Study at the Community Bible Church in Mayville.



Pat enjoyed reading, spending time with her son, gardening, watching movies and playing board games.



She is survived by her mother, Betty Lou Zenns of Mayville; husband, Donald E. Turley, whom she married on November 18, 1987in California; one son, Nathan Turley of Mayville, one brother, Michael (Colleen) Zenns of Austin, PA; two sisters, Martha Zenns (Gil Lindahl) of Jamestown, and Mary (Rod) Hunt of Mayville; father and mother in-law, Maynard and Cheryl Turley of San Diego, CA; several cousins including Joanne Harper of Mayville; and many nieces and nephews.



The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mayville. Rev. Dr. Gordon DeLaVars, rector will officiate. Burial will be in Mayville Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Freay Funeral Home, Mayville.



Pat requested that in lieu of flowers, Memorials be made to: Nathan Turley Education Fund, c/o Donald Turley, 6107 Mill Road, Mayville, NY 14757, or St. Mark Lutheran Church, Elm and Marvin St., Mayville, NY 14757.
