Matthew Wade Receives Promotion

WARREN — Northwest Savings Bank has promoted Matthew Wade to the position of corporate assistant vice president, retail lending division. Wade’s responsibilities will include the origination, production, processing, underwriting, closing and regulatory compliance of all non-real estate consumer loans, including secured and unsecured personal loans, automobile loans, student loans and credit cards. He is also highly involved with the loan review and approval process for both mortgage and home equity loans. Michael Smelko, senior vice president, retail lending said Wade’s retail office experience has been an invaluable asset to the Retail Lending Division and said Wade consistently strives to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. Wade began his Northwest career in 2000 as a participant in the bank’s Management Training Program. He was promoted to assistant manager of the Warren Downtown Office in May 2002 and to manager of the Union City Office in January 2005. In December 2006, Wade was named consumer lending manager, Retail Lending Division and had held that position until his recent promotion. Wade graduated from the State University at Fredonia in May 1995 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and management. He also earned an associate’s degree in business administration from Jamestown Community College in 1993. He will attend the Pennsylvania Bankers’ Association’s Advanced School of Banking at Bucknell University in August 2009. Wade lives in Clymer with his wife, Sheila, and his two daughters, Daniella and Emma. Wade is the son of Charles and Janice Wade of Clymer.
