TRC Announces New Hire

Michael Volk has been named The Resource Center’s Director of Rehabilitation and Employment Services. In his new role, Volk oversees the Rehabilitation Services Division’s operations at the Michael J. Raymond Center in Jamestown, the Mary Andrews Center in Dunkirk and The Resource Center’s facility on Lake Shore Drive in Dunkirk. This is in addition to his previous responsibility to direct the agency’s Employment Services Department and the center’s Staff Assistance initiative. A Southwestern Central School graduate, Volk earned a bachelor’s degree in business from St. Francis College in Pennsylvania. He began working for The Resource Center in 1986. Volk has enjoyed a successful career at TRC, earning the agency’s Employee of the Year Award in 1992. A member of the Western New York Employment Consortium for 17 years, Volk served as the organization’s Treasurer for four years. Since 2001, he has served as a co-chair for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive in Chautauqua County. Volk is a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Lakeside Crossing Home-owners Group. He attends Camp Street United Methodist Church. Volk and his wife, Kristi, live in Bemus Point. They have three children: Jennifer, Jeffrey and John.
