Northwest Savings Bank has a new face on the Internet at The local bank has completely overhauled its Web site to make it more streamlined and simplified. According to Kimberly S. Johnson, corporate assistant vice president and manager of marketing research and analytic services, Northwest Savings Bank has introduced the new Web site to improve customer experience, build brand awareness and enhance the site’s overall performance. Mrs. Johnson said the site’s new configuration will give users added features and functions including advanced security, a “virtual lobby” to spotlight current points of interest to customers and other bank initiatives, an interactive branch and ATM locator, current loan and deposit rates, and a login box on every page for business and personal online banking customers. The redesigned site will not affect online banking. All login procedures for Northwest’s online banking customers will remain exactly the same. The new site, Mrs. Johnson continued, will be continuously improved, with increased interactivity to be among the first of the planned expansions. Northwest Savings Bank holds $7 billion in assets and operates 168 community banking offices in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Maryland and Florida. The stock of its parent company, Northwest Bancorp Inc., trades on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol NWSB. Forbes recently named the company as one of the 100 most trustworthy companies in America.
