Bogey Gains New Position

BUFFALO — Kathryn Bogey of Jamestown will serve as a news and sports reporter at the recently opened Time Warner Cable News Channel in Buffalo. Ms. Bogey is a 2003 Jamestown High School graduate and a 2006 summa cum laude graduate of the State University at Fredonia with a bachelor’s degree in business administrating/marketing and economics. She spent the summer of 2006 as an intern for NBC’s Weekend Today Show in New York City and was employed as a page at NBC in 2007. Part of her page assignment was working for Saturday Night Live, the Conan O’Brien Show, the Olympics, the 2008 Presidential Election, CNBC and was part of the production staff of the 2007 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. In 2008, she was hired by Time Warner Cable’s New York 1 station to work as a news assistant in Manhattan, and later in Staten Island. She has also worked as a writer for Connecticut’s News 12. “Our news channel is excited to welcome such an outstanding and professional team of reporters and meteorologists to its staff,” said Jim Aroune, Time Warner Cable, Buffalo News Channel executive director. “When they start airing live reports (started March 25), they will be able to hit the ground running.” Ms. Bogey is the daughter of Brian and Sandra Bogey of Jamestown.
