He was born Oct. 27, 1939, in Westfield, the son of the late Charles and Ada Tressler Green. He had been a motor equipment operator for the Chautauqua County Highway Department in Sherman for over 26 years.
He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and trapping. He was a member of Westfield Fish and Game Club. He also loved doing small engine repairs.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Turck Green whom he married Feb. 21, 1965, in Sherman; three children, Melissa (John Haag) Green of North East, Pa., Charles (Robbie) Green Jr. of Sherman, and Melinda (Mark) Ridinger of Sherman; six grandchildren, Kody, Tiffany, Joshua, Jason, Allison, and Rachel; one brother, Larry (Jean) Green of Westfield, and one sister, Janice (Fernand) Lavoie of Rushford, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Loretta Davis.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. No calling hours will be observed.
