Cops plan search for NY teen who vanished in '04

April 23, 2014
Associated Press

GLENVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — State police and other law enforcement agencies will be using K-9 units to search for an upstate New York teenager who disappeared 10 years ago this June.

Troopers say Wednesday's search will be conducted in the Schenectady town of Glenville, near where 17-year-old Craig Frear was last seen walking along railroad tracks in the village of Scotia.

Police will focus on a section of Glenville after receiving two leads following last spring's search of the wooded area behind the Price Chopper supermarket where the teen formerly worked.

At the time he disappeared, Frear was a student at Scotia-Glenville High School and captain of the soccer team.
