NEW YORK (AP) — An upcoming NYC auction is offering space history buffs artifacts from spacesuits to an Apollo 12 lunar dust-covered shoulder strap.

The sale is Tuesday at Bonhams.

It includes a motion picture sight ring from Apollo 15. The small polarizing camera filter was used by Astronaut James Irwin on Apollo 15.

It is being sold by Irwin's estate and is estimated at $20,000 to $30,000. The auction house says it's probably the only one in private hands.

Another fascinating item is an Apollo 12 shoulder strap embedded with lunar dust. It was used when astronauts Charles Conrad and Alan Bean conducted two extensive surface explorations. It has a pre-sale estimate of $25,000 to $35,000.
