MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — Vermont's U.S. Attorney Tristram Coffin says a New York man has been sentenced almost five years in prison for conspiring to distribute crack cocaine and heroin in Rutland.
Eshone Williams of Brooklyn was sentenced Tuesday by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Christina Reiss. The 33-year-old Williams will also have three years of supervised release afterward.
Court documents show that Vermont State Police learned several men were selling crack in Rutland and used a confidential informant to track the dealings. Police eventually found 362 bags of heroin and approximately 90 grams of crack cocaine in Williams' apartment.
Williams pleaded guilty to the charges. Williams' lawyer did not respond immediately for comment.
